Who we are:
Located in Glendale, CA, NETCOMICS is an international publisher of manhwa, manga, and other quality English graphic novels. This internship opportunity provides graduate and undergraduate students an excellent opportunity to learn about the operations of a multi-disciplinary publishing company. Our books can be found at any Barnes & Noble, Borders, and comic book stores around the country. They are also currently distributed in the U.K. and Australian markets.
Who you are:
We are looking for media-savvy students with very strong writing skills and a passionate interest in comic books. Korean and Japanese language skills and flash animation skills are a plus.
What you will be doing:
Duties include assisting in the publishing process of our graphic novels, specifically translating, proofreading, writing, researching, designing, animating, and more. Some administrative functions, some grunt work, etc, can be expected. Check out our website, www.NETCOMICS.com, for more about us.
Details:
There is a transportation stipend and lunch.
Also a monthly bonus for high performers.
The hours are 10~7. we are seeking someone who can work a minimum commitment of 2 full days a week for 3 months. Upon successful completion, interns will receive publishing credit for books sold internationally. Academic credit can also be obtained through this internship for most schools. Please specify what hours/days you will be available.
